Members in attendance repackaged and labeled donated new “PJ’s” for the pajama project. We also packed new backpacks with school supplies too numerous to mention, check the pictures below for items.
Club Assembly January 12, 2023

Club President Steve conducted a Club Assembly meeting on January 12 to update members on what's been happening with your Rotary Club.

  • A motion was made to approve the Rotary Club of Oro Valley’s By-Laws at a recent meeting. A copy of the revised by-laws was sent to members by email on January 3, 2023. The motion passed unanimously by all in attendance.
Club Community Service Director Stacey Fox updated us on service projects:
  • Over the Christmas Holidays our club’s combined efforts donated over 1300 wrapped and unwrapped gifts to children in need.
  • The Interact Club, and by extension the club as a whole, has chosen to participate in the Angel Heart Pajama Project. The Angel Heart Pajama Project is a Non Profit Organization, 501c3 whose mission is to provide pajamas, books, and literacy support to children in need. Especially focusing on those children removed from their homes/family for their safety. Over 250 sets of “PJ’s” have already been by the Interacters. Find out more at the website: http://www.angelheartpajamaproject.org.
  • Our club sponsored seven students at the recently conducted Rotary Youth Awards (RYLA) program.  Several will speak at our club meeting on February 9.
  • As a follow-up to our club’s participation in the Wreaths Across America project at the veteran’s memorial cemetery, during the holidays, we are purchasing 60 wreaths for next year under a 2 for 1 early purchase plan.
  • For additional community service projects, check the club’s website and elsewhere in this bulletin.
