BNI Fashion Show to Benefit Families, Youth Literacy and Mental Health

Oro Valley, Arizona, October 9, 2023 – Back by popular demand, the second annual BNI 6 Figure $uccess “Fashion Fusion Show and Local Business Expo” is going to be bigger and better than ever. Chapter president Eva Hendrix and president-elect Tommy Rompel promise that this year’s event will highlight both women’s and men’s fashions, showcase more local businesses, and benefit many more nonprofits from the events proceeds that will be donated to the Rotary Club of Oro Valley.
 
The expanded event will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm MST, at the El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort on 10000 North Oracle Road. The stylish evening will feature a curated selection of men’s and women’s fashions modeled by celebrity heroes, along with a local business expo and silent auction. Fashion models include: Oro Valley Mayor Joe Winfield, Councilmember Joyce Jones-Ivey, Golder Ranch community media /relations supervisor Lydia Camarillo, television personality Leticia Ortiz-Estrella, local teachers and nurses, and members of the Oro Valley police and Golder Ranch fire departments. This year’s fashion show includes stylings from Tucson business, including APEX Tailoring Studio, Apricot Lane, House of Josephine, Piece by Piece Wear and True Me Inspire. 
 
According to Hendrix, the BNI 6 Figure $uccess chapter has come a long way from its beginnings, growing to over 30 businesses within its referral organization. Founded in 2022, BNI 6FS earned the “2022 Chapter of the Year” award out of 19 chapters in BNI SoZona and is one of the largest groups in the region. “I’m thrilled by our tremendous growth over the last year and the diversity of businesses from our community,” said Hendrix. “Given the huge response from last year’s business expo and fashion show, I am very excited to kick off the holiday season with this event that celebrates our Oro Valley businesses and aids so many community services.”

 

 

This is a nonprofit charity event to benefit the Rotary Club of Oro Valley and the local service groups it supports, which help families in need and promote mental health and childhood literacy. Recipients of the event’s proceeds will include: Southern Arizona Book Heroes, Reach for the Stars, We Care Tucson, IMPACT and Interfaith Community Services.

Last year’s fashion event raised $5,000 for IMPACT and EMERGE, which are local nonprofits supported by the Rotary Club of Oro Valley. “We are very excited about the BNI event’s expanded venue, program and business line-up,” said Linda Stratton, president of the Rotary Club of Oro Valley. “We hope to exceed the amount raised last year, which is why we have expanded our list of nonprofit beneficiaries.”
 
In addition to over 30 exhibiting vendors, the 2023 Fashion Fusion event is welcoming sponsors at three different levels: silver ($250), gold ($500) and platinum ($1,000). Current Platinum sponsors include Emily Erickson (Keller Williams) and Linda Gonzales (I Balance Spa).
