As the Director of Development & Communications at local nonprofit Youth On Their Own (YOTO), Bethany will be speaking about the organization’s mission and work, as well as the role of philanthropy in the social services sector. Youth On The Own (YOTO) is dedicated to supporting the high school graduation and continued success of youth experiencing homelessness in our community. Since 1986, YOTO has been serving this unique demographic, helping tens of thousands of young people reach their goal of high school graduation over the years. |

We supply first responders with bags of books to help soothe children on-the-scene.

Foundationally, we fundraise & collect new reading books to reach the heart of a child (0-16) during a crisis. So additionally, we have accepted donations of plush toys, coloring books, boxes of colored pencils, washi tape, and stuffed animals. Other child / age-appropriate items such as: matchbox cars, card games (like Crazy 8's, Old maid, Go Fish) are also easily added into the bags. We have added emergency blankets especially for the wintertime also. |
