A great event for the alumni of the three Arizona University System Business Schools, to connect with friends and meet new ones. The event will be held at the Oro Valley Country Club. The short program will feature Professor Lisa Ordóñez Vice Dean & The McClelland Professor who will present a fascinating topic - Unintended Consequences of Organizational Goal Setting. Topic Overview Academic research and managerial practice indicates that goal setting helps individuals with challenging, specific goals work harder, persist longer, and achieve better performance outcomes than when told to “do your best.” However, there is a grow set of research indicating that goals can lead to unintended consequences such as unethical behavior. Thus, we need to be careful when implementing goals in our organizations. All tickets for the event are available on TicketLeap at http://orovalleyrotary.ticketleap.com/pan-arizona-networking/. Tickets are $15 for hors d'oeuvres. Cash bar Capacity is limited to 200, so please register early.
