Re-engineering Federal Elections
Feb. 25, 2016
It is no secret that Federal elections have been ineffective in electing officials who rate high on confidence and performance levels. This presentation takes the disciplined “7-S” approach developed by McKinsey Management Consulting Firm (highlighted in the book “In Search of Excellence”) and applies it towards improving the effectiveness of Federal elections. It identifies the impediments to effective elections and proposes solutions to overcome those. It discusses the relative impact of implementing these solutions and the ease of implementation. It also discusses how, as individuals, we can start the process of making changes with the “Job Interview” format for electing public officials – using an example based on Mr. Allawi’s own criteria. |
